Girls on the Run
We are excited to share information about Girls on the Run (GOTR), a nationally recognized youth development program designed for girls in grades 3–5. Girls on the Run inspires participants to be joyful, healthy, and confident through fun, experience-based lessons that creatively integrate physical activity.
Throughout the season, girls will participate in engaging lessons that focus on:
- Building self-confidence and positive self-esteem
- Developing strong social and emotional skills
- Learning healthy coping strategies
- Practicing teamwork, empathy, and kindness
- Setting goals and persevering through challenges
Each session combines meaningful discussions with movement-based activities, making learning both active and enjoyable. The program concludes with a non-competitive 5K event, where girls celebrate their accomplishments and personal growth. Girls are encouraged to participate at their own pace—walking, jogging, or running—while being cheered on by family and friends.
